Captured this CP Rail train leaving the MacTier Subdivision (aka “Sub”) and joining the North Toronto Sub on Friday evening.

Coincidentally, saw this thread by the Toronto Railway Museum on the neighbourhood and its railway connection. Great account to follow and the Roundhouse is a wonderful TO place to visit.

Scenes from Today’s #biketo ride & the Challenge with Social Media

Wonderful bike ride this morning to Hummer Bay. What a contrast to last weekend’s weather. Below are some pictures of what I saw along the way. The challenge with social media is that it can often bury pictures and memories in one’s timeline. So, by doing this blog post it’ll be easier for me to go back and remember today’s journey.

As a Christmas gift to all my readers here, this post is a gallery of the photos I put up on Twitter (@swanboatsteve) for “throwback Thursday” this year. I know that not everyone follows me on social media, and in any event, I wanted to assemble all of the photos in one convenient place.

There is no particular rhyme or reason to this collection beyond whatever happened to be a topic appropriate for the occasion.

Also, an apology to regular readers for the lack of updates, beyond promoting comments, recently. I have been distracted and many articles and ideas are marooned “in progress”. Over the holidays there should be no new political crises to attend to, and I hope to catch up.
