It’s been great to get to know the group’s founder, now MPP and Minister Eleanor McMahon, and participate in the Ontario Bike Summit and the annual Greg’s Ride. I still have and use my STR water bottle and jersey. Eleanor has been a wonderful mentor for my career and cycling advocacy, and it’s a lot of fun to spend time with and has lots of energy and passion.
While the circumstances of Eleanor founding STR are tragic, she’s worked hard and shown amazing courage to create change. Change was needed and it’s happening now. Well done to Eleanor, STR staff, board members, volunteers, and event participants!
